Doryssa Seaside Resort

My wife and I stayed two nights here to end our almost three week travels and couldn’t have been happier. They upgraded us to a ocean view suite room and greeted us with fresh juice at our check in. The suite and view are excellent and spacious. The beds are comfortable and the shower and bath is beautiful. The pool, beach and amenities are fantastic here. We absolutely loved our stay to celebrate our 25th anniversary and highly recommend anyone to stay here as well. Thank you very much.

We stayed here with friends and loved the location on the beach and how close it was to town. The resort is huge, lots of sun beds on the beach with umbrellas and under trees. The reception staff were so helpful but we found that the restaurant staff were not as nice, I think they are tired from the summer season so understandable. The rooms are clean and modern in the main hotel and the village suites are traditional. The pool area is lovely and again has a lot of sun beds.

Fantastic hotel. Everything perfect. Nice staff. Great buffet. Nice clean rooms😉 Nice pool if you like freezing cold water (nothing to do about it according to staff. Go to the beach instead we were told?). Short walk to beatiful pythagorion.

Just back for a terrific weak at the Doryssa seaside resort. We cannot fault the property. The staff were all amazing and went out of their way to make us feel welcome . We stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis and also used the pool bar Restaurant . The breakfast selection was amazing and it was nice to be able to prepare a Nespresso coffee for yourself. The food from the pool bar was also extremely good . We loved the proximity to the town whilst being located on the beach . I am sure we will return. Thank you all at the resort for making our holiday so special and memorable.

The resort is in a good location, rooms are ok, clean and comfortable. The beach is magnificent. However the service is a disaster. The waiters are very slow, cocktails are horrible, the staff is incompetent. The bar and dining is twice expensive than the restaurants at the town but taste is over the avarege.

We spent one week here. Fantastic service minded staff. We had breakfast included superb buffet. The restaurants on the resort, we tried them all, all nice food and superb service. The resort is good for couples family. We will probably com back. Nice hollyday

Overall, we had a great experience with Doryssa Seaside Resort, which is a very fitting place for 2 adults and a 2 year old. We stayed in the main building (with ocean view) and had chosen the partial board option for our stay. While the breakfast meal is fixed as the first of the day, we had the option to choose between lunch and dinner for the second meal, which provided some well needed flexibility. The hotel offers a number of different restaurants with different kitchens, which is great, since you want some variety. The kitchens have a relatively high standard, and the dinner buffet at the main restaurant has something different every night (huge plus). The kids pool area wasn't crowded at all, which was rather surprising since we arrived in the high season. We never experienced any difficulty getting one of the (excellent) loungers by the pool in the morning, which can otherwise be quite stressful. The hotel staff were very welcoming, helpful and service minded throughout the whole stay, and they deserve a lot of credit for that - especially since they had to work in such extreme temperatures (+40C). We were very impressed with how clean and well maintained the hotel was - especially in the "village", which is really authentic and works really well for the weekly "greek night" that includes outdoor buffet, dance, music etc. The hotel room in itself was spotless and everything worked well. The view is great, and although some people find it annoying with the airplanes taking off from the nearby airport 5-10 times a day (more frequently in the weekend) it didn't bother us. On the contrary, our 2 year old actually found it very fun to watch - and keep in mind that the planes are not taking off in the late evening or before 7 in the morning. In spite of the above we did, however, experience some things which can be improved. Three times a week, there is live music for 2-3 hours playing right below the main building. For some reason, the the hotel/musicians have chosen to place the speakers so that these are facing the main building and the hotel rooms (!!) and not the beach. This means that the music was very loud and easily penetrated the glass doors to our room, making it impossible for us to enjoy a quiet evening on the balcony. Also, it made it difficult for our 2 year old to fall asleep before 10.30PM (when the music stopped). I really don't understand the decision to have 2 guys play (almost the exact same) music for several hours, 3 times in a week, so close to all the hotel rooms facing the ocean. The fact that a very small number of people actually sat and listened to the music, made it even more difficult to understand. We also spoke to other guests who had the same experience. The hotel should consider moving the live music to the bar at the beach, so that guest are not forced to endure the loud music during the evenings. In addition, it would be great to see some more consistency in terms of how things are served
