Decent breakfast, saunas were fine but showers in the room were a bit nasty with dark spots on the wall

One night in Scandic Mikkeli. Hotel is quite old but pretty well maintained so don't wait any fancy decoration. But at least room was clean. Free parking is always nice. Parking lot is in top of mall so in winter time you might need to do some snow work but in summer there should be no problems. Breakfast was pretty good. Quite standard older Scandic hotels level I would say. You will get your belly full with the standard dishes without any extra glamour.

Located right in the city centre. Free parking at the second floor. You will get a parking ticket from the reception. Very nice and informative receptionist. Coffee and tea + minibar in the room. Very large single beds and sofa bed for the kids. Cosy restaurant. Busy for breakfast (early at 7.00).

Hotel is old and should be renovated but however, staff is very nice, restaurant food good (breakfast even better), rooms and areas are clean so not much to complain. I would give 3,8 stars if it would be possible. (Why on earth it have to be 200 characters?)

Hotel has mold. It was in bathroom, in sauna and in the pool. The smell of mold was also in the conference room. Air conditioning was bad and it was very loud. Hotel is stuck in the 90’s. Personal was good. Food was good. Not so good experiense. And I think I got bitten.

The room price was very high compared to level of hotel. The room was very warm, almost hot at the beginning of September. All surfaces very used, the window frames looked like 100 years old. Room door did not close completely, there was open air between door and frame, so the noises from hallway were able to hear clearly?! Toilet was rather ok, expect the black spots on the shower wall... The stuff was friendly and breakfast was good. It was also positive, that parking was free.

The bed was very small for two, you could access it only from one side. The bathroom had a bad smell, there were mold on the shower walls. The price for this three star hotel (160€).was not in proportion to standard it offered. The breakfast was included and it was quite good.

Centrally located, scrupulously clean, pleasant & helpful staff, heavenly breakfast- superb in every way. The hotel is a short uphill walk from the train/bus station- avoid the hill by taking the elevator @ the station and have a level walk to Scandic

Stayed here one weekend with my family and the hotel location is great for exploring Mikkeli city center! The sleep wasn't that good. Yes, comfy beds and sufficient blankets, but pillows too soft and mushy, restless activities in the corridoor and noise from neighboring rooms until 1 AM. Room minus: - no electrical outlets by the beds - diffcult recycling system/ too small bin - no water boiler and thus no complimentary tea for a late evening tea drinker or instant coffe for an early morning coffee drinker. Yes, you could get it from the reception minimarket but you don't want to get all dressed to enjoy it in your bed or by the desk. Breakfast minus: - Very narrow food areas - Glass pitcher for supersmoothies had broken spout. Made me scared that I had swallowed pieces of glass
