Grand Hotel Kalamata

This is a true modern and sleek 4* hotel right at the seafront promenade in Kalamata. The hotel has a smaller boutique feel but offers all the comforts of much larger hotels. Breakfast is served a la carte and is tasty and fresh and the all day restaurant has varied seating options and great food. Best of all - the staff is super helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Eleni at reception for her assistance above and beyond.

We stayed there over new year eve and enjoyed every day of our stay. Very new hotel with some rooms directly facing the waterfront. But more important a young and very dedicated service team that always tries to make you feel at home. The hotel also has a nice restaurant for dinner with great food and a bar with some special cocktails. Definitely a place to recommend for staying and dining.

We stayed here for two nights following our visit to the Mystras Archeological site from Nafplio. The town center seems kinda run-down, and we had to drive through some narrow residential streets with cars being parked on both sides to get to the hotel. Our rental Audi A3 felt a little too wide to us when we had to exercise caution and patience to sneak through the parked cars on both sides (lol). On retrospect, traveling with cars in Europe is a double-edged sword: it provides freedom and flexibility, but at the same time it is inconvenient when you have to drive through narrow and winding roads to get to the destination, AND have to find parking once you're there. We picked the Grand precisely for its habour front location with parking! Our room is on the small side, which is fortunately compensated by the high ceiling. It has beautiful furnishing and high-quality bedding with a cute balcony facing the harbor. Aircon is turned off by default and takes about 30 mins to match the desired temperature. The included breakfast with cooked to order eggs is very good. We also got espresso and a super delicious fruit smoothie to go with it. The smoothie is so good that we ordered it for our dinners as well.

Beautiful hotel with an even better staff.. we stayed here in 2022 shortly after they opened and we returned to find the hotel even more excellent… Beautiful rooms fabulous batting wonderful baths but Wutr at this hotel apart was the wonderful front desk staff.. Elena and Victoria, and everyone else at the desk made us feel welcome and wanting to return!

Wonderful hotel and staff in beautiful Kalamata. The hotel is clean and comfortable. The staff is professional and friendly. The drinks and food are perfect. The location of the hotel is great. The views are marvelous. Thank you all for your hospitality GH! We will be back soon!

What a lovely hotel. Luxurious but not too much. Amazingly comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom and as our other hotels in Peloponnesus, great service. Lovely location in the centre of town and walking distance to all the great restaurants. Will definitely go there if in the area.

This hotel thought of everything! The lobby - STUNNING! The rooms - PERFECT in every way! It was clear to us that every detail was thought of when opening this hotel! And the hotel staff were just AWESOME! Shout out to Eleni (Front desk/concierge) and Andrianna (restaurant staff) for being so incredibly nice and helpful. There was another front desk person whose name I didn't get, but she was awesome too! HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Kalamata.

5-star service. Very friendly staff and great service. Very new and high quality hotel. The restaurant was also very good, with friendly and knowledgeable. We needed some special help with organisation and the staff at the hotel didn’t hesitate to step up to the challenge. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back.
