Guests staying at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort’s hotels are invited to join fun activities throughout the day at the recreation facilities of the hotels. “Take 5” in the piano-shaped pool or stroll through a lush garden courtyard. Young guests can participate in Recreation Arts & Crafts and make their own handmade Disney crafts, families can meet some of their favorite Disney Friends and so much more.
Children 2 to 12 years of age are invited to enjoy Disney themed activities and games at Storybook Playroom and Nemo's Recreation Reef inside the nearby Hong Kong Disneyland Resort's hotels. Complimentary shuttle service is available between Disney’s Hollywood Hotel, Hong Kong Disneyland Park, Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and Disney Explorers Lodge. Departing every 10 to 20 minutes depending on the time of day, the shuttle can be picked up in front of the hotel, to the right of the main entrance. Between the hours of 1:00 AM and 6:00 AM, shuttle service can be arranged by contacting the Bell Des k in the main lobby.

Room was located on the ground floor which was slightly less safe knowing that anyone can come to the guest rooms. Amenities and service was good. Shuttle bus takes a while to come. But overall a good experience.

The hotel is only slightly cheaper than the Explorer’s Lodge, but the quality of service and amenities are much lower. Actually, all three Disney’s hotels are not really in a walking distance to the Disneyland, so shuttling is quite required and making them losing values as the Disney’s own hotels.
Staying at other non-Disney’s hotels near MTR stations would be just as convenient considering the Disneyland Resort station is close to the entrance of the Disneyland. Furthermore, you will have access to more options of restaurants which are normally more affordable as well.
In my opinion, staying in hotels near the Tung Chung MTR station is the better option for those visiting Hong Kong Disneyland.

The pools were closed for winter so we couldnt fully enjoy the amenities. Also, the only perk with staying at the hotel was supposed to be early access to the disneyland park but if you schedule your visit to the park on the same day as your stay at the hotel, you can't enjoy early access because check in is at 3pm and you can only get early access once you have the keycard to the room. Even if you can get the early access, you can't actually go in earlier. You can only queue at the entrance before regular guests.
