Having stayed at Qafqaz Tufandag Hotel during winter solely for skiing, the review is based on our winter experience. Winter Experience: The ideal hotel to stay during winter in Gabala / Tufandag, if Snow or Skiing is what you are looking for. The ski rental shop and the ski lift are attached to the hotel, which makes it very convenient. You can even rent the Ski Mobile from right behind the hotel. Rooms: The room that we had (Deluxe Room) was spacious with a lounge area, balcony and a spacious bathroom. The Room & bathroom were clean, and the bed was comfortable for a tight sleep after a day of skiing. Meals: The buffet breakfast had a good spread to choose from. The Ala Carte dinner was also good with both continental and local cuisine. Staff: The staff at the reception (Check In), the restaurant (Dinner) and the Ski Centre were very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely stay at the hotel during the next winter.

Outstanding experience Exceptional people. Everything between check in and check out was exceptional 5 stars. Highly recommended! Worth every penny you will spend on it. I know we will be discussing and missing this trip for a long time. Safe Travel to all who are planning to visit this resort.

I love that the location doesn’t require me to travel to enjoy the snow activities. My room was overlooking the lake and it was beautiful! The facilities are great, the hallways were warm with beautiful paintings and smells good, the restaurant both bar and the Elite served tasty food. The spa was also cozy enough to relax after a tiring day of snow activities. Best part is the staff were exceptional, they were kind and accommodating to requests, clearly attentive to their guests. As a solo traveler, this provided me a safe environment. Thank you for the wonderful experience Qafqaz! ❤️

Great location for holidays, big rooms with all amenities, friendly and courteous staff,amazing dine in experience. The Tufandag cable car is just outside the fourth floor of Qafqaz Tufandag Hotel which made so convenient for us to enjoy the stay. Highly recommended and will visit again.

My only regret is my visit to Gabala was only two days one night. The hotel was spotless. Food good, breakfast excellent and staff really friendly and happy to help. Rooms large and great AC. Panoramic views from rooms and restaurant are stunning. Good sized walk in showers. This hotel is actually a formal stop on the cable cars which take you up and across these mountains. You must try them but not if you are scared of heights ! Gabala is a very traditional Azerbaijani town. Many authentic restaurants and very reasonably priced. Only downside is the drive from Baku is 3-4 hours. But worth it.

the resort is situated at the bottom of the mountain. there is direct access to gondola and ski area. the resort is not very large but very well placed we booked a family room with extra bed. the room was very big with 2 separate sleeping area. there was a very large room with king bed and sitting area. we got the room on the ground floor with view to the artificial lake. unfortunately there was a single bathroom also the shower area was very dark toiletries were more than adequate and good quality staff was always enthusiastic and helpful especially Mr Anar who helped with the luggage. if one does not have transport arranged then food choices are limited to the hotel restaurant and room service. the choices can be expanded but the service was fast, quality and quantity was good and prices very reasonable. if one plans to spend more time for the skiing (there is a ski school right on the premise) then the resort is an ideal place. highly recommended

Front Desk Staff ruined our trip. I travel a lot and this is the first experience I've had with a hotel Front Desk team that ruined our family trip. There was a confusion with the two rooms we booked. My elderly parents and children were with me and the Front Desk hotel manager used profanity in front of them. The rest of the team were smirking and unhelpful. It really put a bad mark on our weekend and I will never return to this hotel again due to the Front Desk Staff. They are the first impression of the hotel - when you walk in you interact with them first. In all my travels I've never had an experience like this.
