The entire hotel was disgusting - filthy on every surface and in every corner. The whole place smelled of mildew but especially the guest rooms. I say plural rooms because the first room we were in smelled moldy and there were black dots on the wall fan (which was running AC) and the air was stale and humid. We asked for a room change but the second room was even worse in terms of mildew smell and the bed looked as though the covers had just been pulled over rather than the bed made. We asked for a refund and left.

Booked online and arrived at 0200 after traveling for 14 hours. Arrived to a sketchy neighborhood and hotel. But we were tired and no other options. So checked in. Desk clerk was aloof and not welcoming. I think he had been asleep. Exterior was trashy. Room was ugly with 1970’s style decor recently purchased from a garage sale maybe. Room smelled of black mold and was dirty. Just a very depressing room. We had respiratory issues by morning. The bathroom tub was nasty, toilet was dirty and seat was very loose. Door was completely splintered at the bottom. I felt like i needed a hazmat suit each time I entered the bathroom. We didn’t take showers for this reason. Dust lined every surface. Floors were filthy. We were all too scared to walk barefoot and even touch any surface. Hard to understand how this place passes Choice Hotels inspection. It need to be condemned and torn down. It looks like it may be used for one hour rentals. Very dissatisfied and disgusted. I won’t stay at a Choice Hotel again.

Should of known not to stay when the front door was locked. The room was very small, outdated and the shower curtain didn't keep water in the tub. The bed was way to soft, we both kept rolling to the middle of the bed. The breakfast area was a mess, no cups to make the waffles, no fruit, no yogurt. Glad we were only passing through.

First and most important for a traveler, I received 8 insect bites as I slept that match bedbug bites, and itched like crazy. I saw no bedbugs, but the person sleeping in the other bed did not get them. Entering the hotel, we were greeted by an upset couple arguing (unsuccessfully) to get out of a reservation, with the desk clerk. Checking in, we were required to authorize a $100 deposit for "incidentals" on our credit card--the first time I've ever run into this in my 40+ years of hotel stays. I guessed why later--this hotel caters to cash customers by day or week, who apparently either smoke in the rooms, vandalize or steal amenities like towels, alarm clocks and hair dryers, as our room was missing both the latter, but you could see where they had been installed as the brackets were still there. It also explains the sign in the breakfast room reminding guests that this is not an all-you-can-eat buffet. I've never seen such signage at any hotel I've stayed at, ever. On entering the "suite" room, we couldn't get lights to turn on, using our cell phone flashlight to find they'd all been unplugged for some reason, as was the microwave oven. We plugged them back in. The room was missing paint in places, didn't have a blackout curtain, and smelled like a bad car air freshener. The kleenex dispenser in the bathroom was empty, with the top taken off and flipped upside down. The bathroom was dingy, but we were tired after arriving late, and our reservation was non-cancelable and non-refundable, so we were stuck. We were aware we were getting a two star hotel, but counted on the fact that basic features and amenities stated were there. Nope. The room looked nothing like the cheery pictures on the web site. No couch, just basic furniture in a room with a cathedral ceiling. We chose the hotel over others in the area as it had a pool, and my plan was to have a brief swim and go to sleep. Except, the pool's heater had died some time ago and had not been repaired, so the water temp was in the 60's, and not usable. The inoperative pool was not noted on Choice Hotel's web site, nor the requirement for a credit card deposit. I flipped the bed covering up to retire, and there was the head of a toothbrush sticking out between the box spring and mattress, which I removed. This place has a problem with housekeeping, apparently. Breakfast ends at 9, even on weekends. We got there at 8:30 to find all the good stuff gone, except cereal. To top off our experience, as we were leaving, there was a staff member pounding on doors in our area, telling the guests to either pay up or leave. I looked at reviews after the fact, to find many were just like our experience. The cut and paste manager responses since 2017 are not sincere as the problems remain. I emailed the manager, but have received no response.

This review is a warning for everyone to avoid this hotel! Staff is extremely unprofessional and there is no customer service! The front desk lady, Selena, could care less if you have an issue or problem with your stay. Room was not as we booked online but we were told we could not get a refund. We decided to stay but probably should have left as there was attitude from the front desk anytime you spoke with her about issue with your stay or anything we needed. No upper management to contact and not the customer service one expects from a quality Inn. I should have read the other bad reviews and stayed clear of this place!

I am travelling with my 17-year-old child who has special needs. The description of the room I reserved said it had a partial room divider and a seating area in addition to the bed. The pictures clearly show a full size sofa and a chair with an ottoman and two tv’s - one for the bed and one for the seating area. When we got here at about 9:30pm o check-in, I was told there was only the one king bed and the rooms no longer had the other furniture. I said I needed either the couch or two beds. The clerk asked me if I wanted to find a different hotel. My child really needed a bathroom and could not wait. I asked if they could use a restroom and was told there weren’t any. We could use the one in the room after check in. Also, The room did not seem very clean. It was still trash in one of the wastebaskets. The refrigerator did not seem to be working and there was water in the bottom of it. There was also very hot as the air conditioner was in the back part of the room and really could not keep up with the whole suite. This hotel comes nowhere near meeting the standards I have come to expect from choice hotels.

Room was very dirty! Huge cobwebs and water damage in our room. Looked like it hadn’t been cleaned. The door kept sticking. No soap or shampoo. We asked to talked to the manager and was told they were not available. We went back and again was told the same thing. Another man told us he was on his third room because of different problems. We paid $167.00 for this! We planned on staying 2 more nights but needless to say we found a better hotel. This was very disappointing! We have stayed at this chain many times and have always had a wonderful stay.
