Ascott Orchard Singapore

I was quite impressed with the hotel, I loved the room and the amenities that came with it. I especially loved the location of the hotel, it was convenient and had many shopping and food options. I tried both the pool and gym, and it was nice experience as well. The service was also definitely great, whenever I had food delivery they would call me and give me a heads up that someone was coming to my room. I think the only thing I would hope for is a halal option within the hotel, it would have made the stay even more convenient and enjoyable. Overall, I would definitely come again!

I book this hotel on impulse as I needed a place for a nap. The moment I was out of the lift on the 2nd floor, I feel I'm home, towards the reception. Check in was quick and the staff provide me enough information and rules of the hotel. When I step into #0712-02, I feel like I'm home. Finding the room was a little challenge but after tt, I feel that the unit number is so unique! I stayed for 2 nights in a studio executive suite, over looking the pool on the 7th floor. Everything here is perfect! Lap pool is great for swimmers and theres a jacuzzi. However, I did not go to the gym as only fully vaccinated guest can enter the gym. There is no in room dining from the hotel but they partner with Kith cafe which is beside the hotel. Anw, I can reheat my left over supper for dinner as there is a microwave, great for guest who love to prepare their meals. I'll definitely be back again. Ascott Orchard is a great place for staycation. Not forgetting its located in the heart of Orchard and Somerset. 5 min walk and ill reach 313 / Orchard gateway, Takashimaya. There is a link bridge to paragon thru the carpark and u need to take a lift one floor down. No one tell me this until I ask the receptionist after losing my way walking around the carpark haha.

Staff at front desk and cleaning were generally friendly and helpful during check in and out. Meals are provided for by kith at ground level. Layout of hotel takes getting used to due to the “flooring”. Check in is on level 2, strangely level 1 brings you nowhere near Taka SC or paragon malls and the connected car park to the lobby is level 4 with a very non-descript and old metal door for access. Somehow car park level P4 connects to hotel level 2. There is no complimentary parking or hotel parking either except with a fixed amount voucher that will provide exit but you need to estimate the cost compared to the current parking rate and purchase separately at front desk (22 Bideford Rd). Room itself is big enough for a deluxe (2+1 9yo child) with the living area and kitchenette. Shower drainage was clogged on the first night leading to ponding of 3 inches of water while showering. However this was rectified within the day of giving feedback to front desk. Some areas like carpet had unidentifiable dried orange stains from previous and the blinds in the toilet had mould stains on them. The toilet bin was horrible really small and hard to press down to use. The bathrobe was quite worn and had a partially torn left pocket. May I recommend that these be looked into by housekeeping and facilities departments considering this is a five and not four star residence. Floor was also slightly dusty and there was some hair on the floor as well after cleaning. Beds and sofa and chairs appeared clean enough at first sight and use but was expecting much higher degree of cleanliness for this room and the price I paid. Believe me it wasn’t half bad definitely it’s still higher end and definitely liveable over the 3D2N but cleanliness standard was somewhat lower than what I’d expect from an Ascott. Food is readily available at the malls nearby however last order for rm dining service at kith is currently 930pm. Extra service charge is charged for delivery inside the unit compared to call and self collected method which is unusual but I guess it’s to prevent overloading the two front staff manned kith.

Overall the staff were friendly and helpful, especially the housekeeper. Room is well ventilated: smell would not linger after cooking. Parking is not free but the rates are fair. Walking distance to shopping and food.

We stayed 4 nights in Ascott Orchard for our wedding anniversary. While the location was perfect and hotel was clean and new, I think there is room for improvement in terms of service. First, the hotel does not provide any complimentary cake or drinks for special celebrations or any wishes from the check in staff even when we informed them. Second, the hotel uses dispenser water machines to be more environmentally friendly. However, the one in the room is high tech and complicated to use without any instructions. At the gym, there were no paper cups for water dispenser for the 4 days even after informing them. So nobody follow-up after highlighting to the staff. In summary, it’s not 5 star level by the normal Asian standards.

Great spacious place with nice pool. My daughter and I enjoyed ourselves!

Service was good. Checkin was smooth and all enquiries answered. I love the huge pillows in the room. Nice view of pool. Impressed by the kitchenette for its cutlery and plates/bowls/glasses. Furniture was a little worn out ie bedframe. Room service by Kith was delivered promptly but in a paper bag rather rather than hotel plates. Overall a peaceful hotel stay and I enjoyed the nice hospitality.
