Super 8 by Wyndham Quesnel BC

Very nice people running the place but not the cleanest needs new beds, paint and a good carpet cleaning real doggy smell.

Pleasantly surprised! New friendly management, now has breakfast, quiet sleep! My husband and I l decided to take a chance and we were glad we did. The hotel staff was super friendly and happy. Rooms are a bit dated but it we had a quiet restful sleep and they even had a breakfast available which is new for them. Would stay again

We arrived on August 5th at 10:00 p.m. to check in. I had made a reservation through Super Travel. The manager or owner indicated that Wyndham tried to make him work with Super Travel, but he only liked to work with *********** and **********. He was clearly reading the details of my reservation off of his computer screen while claiming not to have it . He said that he wouldn't make enough money off of it so he would not honor my reservation. At first he was going to allow us to pay for a room even though my reservation was prepaid. He said I would just have to pay an extra $20 for my dog. I agreed but shortly thereafter he started yelling and swearing in a very angry and erratic manner regarding Super Travel and him wanting to control his own motel. It was a very frightening experience and we ended up without a motel room, on the August long weekend, 800 km from home. It was a truly terrible experience! Do yourself a huge favor and do not book the Super 8 by Wyndham when you are in Quesnel.

We came in late looking for a room as we were passing through Quesnel. They had a room, gave us good service. The rooms were comfortable, clean and unpretentious. Definitely not fancy but a quiet good nights sleep. We would definitely stop again.

Staff was very nice.. didn’t have to wait long to check in. Only real issues were that the ac didn’t work, the toilet was glued down, and no breakfast options. Room was clean and shower was nice and hot.

After a 10 hour drive a hot shower was all I wanted! The water temp is set for Luke warm. No cold water needed!!! My arthritis needs a hot shower!!!! Save money else where owners!! Never stay here if you need hot water! The carpets are dirty. I didn't want to take off my shoes!

Rooms were very clean and cleaned every day staff was very nice and friendly and helpful they have laundry that you can use probably the best place to stay by far when staying in quesnel away from downtown and all the homeless junkies

This Hotel is terrible. Rooms have a terrible smell. Carpet is filthy. Beds look like they are ready to fall apart. Bedspreads were old and ratty and had a terrible smell. No Ice. No Breakfast served (even though the site says so). Grounds are terrible. I couldn't stay and asked for a refund. Manager told me to leave the lobby and then locked the door so I couldn't go back in. So Out the money and scrambled to find another hotel. The manager is very rude. Don't waste your money. It's not worth the stress.

This place is extremely run down and even more filthy than the first time I stayed there. I didn’t even want to sleep under the covers, I pulled the top blanket away and slept in my clothes. The room was stifling hot when I arrived, which enhanced the cigarette smell in my NON-smoking room. Save your money or drive further away from the highway and find a better place. Sad I had to pay for a place like this. If I didn’t have my child with me, I would have preferred a rest stop on the side of the highway with an outhouse to this place.
