En deux teintes…. Accueil on ne peut plus froid. Suite a un mariage en cours lors de notre arrivée , nous avons été contraint de rejoindre une salle de restauration rideaux fermés,sans lumières… nous avons été forcé de déplorer un endroit sale avec un service inexistant. La chambre reçue sale et vetuste. ( pour une suite familiale, notre enfant s’est vu recevoir un petit lit rouillé avec un matelas de 3 cm d épaisseur. Sdb sale, peinture arrachée,etc) Après avoir fait part de notre grand étonnement et déception, car nous n’avions pas vu ce genre de prestations lors de la réservation, le personnel nous a compris et donné une chambre tout-à-fait différente. Grande, propre, literie confortable, jolis matériaux de qualité bref… comme si ce n’était pas le même hôtel ! À noter cependant que la restauration n’est pas le point fort … nourriture froide.

No welcome drink? Once this was a great hotel but now I am not sure if it is worth it. The hotel needs some serious reformation. I enjoyed the calm and scenic look, this resort has to offer. They are maintaining the property and the surroundings alright. But the rooms need to be renovated. They are pretty old and some equipment is broken. The buffet was average and some food items tasted bad. I cannot recommend this hotel anymore for the price range.

We travelled with a tour ( mercury holidays) group stopping here for two nights. Buffet style food was tasty and enjoyed by all. Rooms spacious with large bathrooms, tea/ coffee/ water . Our air conditioning unit was not very efficient but it wasn’t too hot. Staff friendly, drinks reasonable price( as we found in most places) service is sometimes slow but always with a smile. If you have dietary needs you’ll need to check ahead - not too many labels- it’s fairly obvious if it’s vegetarian, not so obvious for vegan. Tea and coffee is usually served with hot milk.

While this resort maybe good, their customer service is really bad. This is coming from me trying to make a reservation with them. For starters, I had to call more than 5 times before someone picked up the phone. They weren't remotely interested in what I wanted to ask and more concerned about a conversation going on in the background. After talking to a person who didn't seem to understand a basic reservation, she then told me to contact someone else, instead of getting that person to contact me. I called that person as well and inquired about the room availability and credit card offers given on the website. He outright refused to offer the credit card offer saying that there's only one room available on the day I am checking. I checked the fine print, there was no condition like that. This is such bad service, I don't even know how they are getting guests to stay at this hotel if simply the reservation process is such a hassle like this. What a disappointment.

It is located in a beautiful area in Kandy. The facility is quite old. Not maintained at all. The bathroom was cleaned but smelly. When we asked the housekeeping to clean it again, they did it swiftly. In reality, the smell never went off. The staff is untrained. Some are chit chatting in common areas, distubing the guests. Food was average to good. All 3 meals were buffets. Refills were either slow or non extinctant. If you don't go early to the buffet, you will be eating the leftover. Very large swimming pool was a plus. Large ground area in the hotel but most of it was not kept well. We wouldn't go there again.

My wedding took place at the tree of life very recently and the services and the meals we received were beyond expectations. As a hotel with a long history, I recommend the Tree of Life Nature Resort to any couple, family or even solo travelers. The surroundings are all relaxing and calm and you will experience a glimpse of nature throughout the hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious and the meals were amazing. Kudos to the chef and the restaurant team. The staff is very friendly and helpful and they give priority to the customer's desires. Both main and baby swimming pools are well maintained and you can go for a swim during the day. Tree of life is a great hotel for all sorts of events including parties, family gatherings, day outs or simply for your vacation.

We were introduced by Mr. Kamal and we had a lovely stay at the hotel. We were greated by Mr. Kapila (Hospitality and sales manager) he was kind and helpful, he walked with us in the rain helping us to locate our room. The food was delicious and nutritious. The pork we had for dinner was soft and had the right amount of everything. The head Chef personally came and spoke to us and made sure that we were served with everything. Jackie another manger was also amazing, she checked up on us and made sure that we had a quality stay. My family and I enjoyed the auruvedic spa treatment, the prices were very reasonable and the treatment was excellent. All in all our stay was warm and enjoyable. Thank you team tree of life for a wonderful service.

The staff was supportive in every aspect, we had an office day out. Arranged the things according to our requirements. Staff was polite and dynamic. The food was delicious. Nice view and enjoy the Ayurvedic foot massage.
