Hotel Wienerhof

Vriendelijk personeel … mooie kamer — juniorsuite— Wel jammer dat ik het ontbijt voor 2 personen moest betalen.. terwijl ik alleen was Voor de kamer extra betalen vind ik logisch Maar het ontbijt ook vind ik vreemd Geef dan aan dat je verplicht bent ontbijt erbij te boeken !

We missed out on the last ferry (of the day) to Texel and the host, Tordes (hope I spelt your name correctly?), welcomed us for a very late booking at reception at 10pm. Not only did he offer a welcome drink on arrival, but we were given a free upgrade to the suite from the standard room. The suite was very clean and spacious. It included a very spacious "open-concept" bathroom area (perfect for couples) with a bathtub and shower (hot and cold water), and a balcony overlooking part of the city. The bed had a white curtain canopy and gave us the best sleep of our entire Netherlands trip - thanks to a quality mattress and pillow. Despite having a very loud neighbour and being close to the train station, we experienced no noise. We stayed here on a Friday night, and couldn't hear anything from dusk until dawn, even with windows open. If you like an accommodation with old world charm, and in a good location, definitely check out Hotel Wienerhof. If we had another night in Den Helder, we would stay here again. Check-in and check-out was very smooth. We were in/out in less than 5 minutes. And we felt our host, Tordes was very friendly and kind. Thank you for our stay! Michael

De kamer was geboekt door mijn bedrijf in de buurt van de Marine haven, maar viel enorm tegen. Twee losse bedden, kleine kamer en kleine badkamer met douche. Meer is het niet. De toegang tot de kamer was door het cafe/restaurant waar op dat moment een groep ouderen aan het kaarten waren. De prijs voor dit alles 129 per nacht zonder ontbijt. Ik was zo teleurgesteld dat ik gelijk via booking naar andere opties heb gezocht. Binnen no time gevonden: 14 km verder een ruim appartement in een stolpboederij. Parkeerplaats voor de deur in tegenstelling tot Wienerhoff Hotel. En bovendien ook nog eens 30 euro goedkoper. Helaas moeten we de kosten van de nacht in Wienerhoff wel betalen, omdat niet 24 uur van te voren geannuleerd is. Vandaar deze review. Bezint voor ge begint aan dit hotel. Oubollig hotel,echt aan een grote uppdate toe!!! De kamer die we kregen...daar kon ik me nog mee verzoenen,maar het avondeten...ik had de spareribs 😟,schaamtelijk,zoiets zou ik niet durven aan iemand voorschotelen...die waren gewoon gekookt 😟wat ik héél jammer vind,want om een lekkere sparerib klaar te maken moet je geen grote chefkok zijn,ze waren nogthans goed begonnen. bij het inchecken kregen we spontaan de vraag of we een koffietje wensten, dit hotel is goed voor een keer 😟 maar mij zien ze hier niet meer terug!!!

When we stayed in this hotel it was the first one one of the locals pointed us to so w got a night after a long bus journey so the first thing I did was to go for a shower with when I first stepped in was scalding hot then when you try get a nice temperature it fluctuates between boiling hot and freezing cold the double bed is not and actual double bed but 2 single mattresses squeezed into one bed cover and extremely uncomfortable poor quality like everything else in hotel the "steak" I ordered could not be described as a steak rather some random cut of beef tough as leather for the price I'd at least expect a ribeye chips clearly frozen and sauce from a packet the decor is dated at best wierd and creepy at worst like some old dutchmans farm has manifested its self into furniture breakfast is also a joke old nasty cheese and questionable bland and wierd texture scrambled eggs more like an omlate I could handle all of this if the price was reasonable but 150 for the night is definitely to much I would have been happy with the 50 to 70 range but to be honest I have stayed in hotels for that price that far outshine this dust pit owners clearly more interested in money than providing any form of decent service the one good thing I can say is the location that you can go straight outside and leave to a propper place with normal standards like amsterdam do not waste your money on this to be avoided at all costs

I staid here for one night,and that it's a nice place, I wouldn't go here if I was here with my family. I've already heard various stories from colleagues about the hotel, which aren't the best, so I prepared for the worst, but lucky enough it was better than that. Pro: * Near the station, * Near the shopping centre, * Friendly staff. Con: - The room was outdated, - No WiFi.
