Almond Tree Hotel Resort

This is a one a kind hotel with views to die for! This was our second visit and will be back! If you want peace and relaxation this small hotel will be your heaven! Our room was a little warm but we stayed the start of Aug. I loved the home made French toast , you get to watch it made if you sit at the cozy bar to a ocean breeze, drinking fresh juice . It’s to die for!

Beautiful oceanfront setting for this guesthouse, especially if you have an ocean facing room. We spent a couple of nights at this place and had a really good stay. The service was great and we loved the free use of the bikes. The hotel grounds were beautifully manicured including the outstanding pool area. The location is great, just a 5-10min walk down a quiet lane to some good restaurants. It is possible to swim right ou in front of the place where there is a small beach and built up pier area, however the sea was a bit rough and full of sargassum while we were there. The room itself was disappointing – we expected so much more. The main complaint was that it was very dark with very little natural light. Even with all the lights on inside it was very dark. Although an oceanfront room, the room had no windows other than the glass doors, missing out on the spectacular views. Furthermore, we had to keep our curtains closed much of the time for privacy as the main walking corridor along the balcony and entry ways to the rooms was right outside the doors to all the rooms, thus not a private balcony view. People could just look right in as they walked by and if you were sitting in the chair outside the door, there wasn’t much room left over for people to pass. So in a nutshell – dark rooms and lack of privacy for the oceanfront rooms. Overall we had a good stay and would definitely recommend it to other travelers.

Small hotel with private beach, well maintained swimmingpool area. We were there off season therefore had the hotel almost to ourselves. Choose a seaview room, it is worth it. Small breakfast served at the hotel . Betsi, the owner, very friendly.

Like in heaven. Beautiful rooms, with good style. Terrific garden like a park. Cosy nice pool area and pool. Very clean. Even a sand beach. In the sea view rooms you feel like above the see. Extremely friendly. Best place in the area. Thank you so much.

Great little hotel right on beach. Very clean and well kept. Owners live onsite. Betty and Owen were so friendly. Only weird thing is all room doors are glass. Know before you stay there aren’t tvs in the rooms, which adds to the peace of the place. We will stay here our next time in area.

Little hotel, just outside of town but right on the beach, and with a beautiful garden and relaxing pool area. Very friendly owners. Spacious room. We did find the room cleanliness somewhat less than expected (a few spider webs, some dust, a sink well that had some hairs on it), plus shower pressure was somewhat mediocre (not so good for people with long hair). But judging from what we’ve seen, easily the best hotel in town and a comfortable place to stay for a night or two.

Super deluxe! We stayed in room #1 and it was huge with a beautiful view of the bay. The bed (there were 2 queen-sized beds in the room) was the most comfortable we had slept in in a very long time. There was a table for 6 which was really handy when we were both busy with computer work. It had a nice kitchen with full-sized refrigerator, microwave/convection oven and electric cooktop. It had a sofa near the large TV (you could also watch the TV from the bed if you wanted), and fast wifi. The pool was beautiful and there were plenty of lounge chairs around the pool, on the private beach, and in the grass under the shade. Betsy took great care of us and made a couple of nice dinners for us, answered lots of questions, and loaned us bikes to get around on. It was a fantastic stay that I can heartily recommend. The only improvement that I can think of would be an overhead light or lamp with a switch right by the door for coming back in the dark.

We've been coming to Almond Tree for 7 years. Betsi and the staff are so kind. They help with anything you need. The rooms are clean, and have all amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The chairs by the ocean and the pool are so peaceful. Highly recommend!
